Integrated with Kirkland & Ellis LLC is an evolving workplace strategy and management program designed to carry them into the next decade and beyond.
Design of this new law landscape involved implementing egalitarian workspaces to exceed the expectations of graduating law students working alongside seasoned partners and associates. The open and collaborative workplace environments boast cafes, casual collaboration zones, and ubiquitous access to technology, daylight, and views complementing the two new floors of the 120,000 gsf workplace. Coinciding elements of the innovative design include sensitive acoustics, audio/visual elements, and agile criteria set forth in the new workplace strategy for the second largest law firm in the world. As part of the client’s focus on employee well-being every work surface is height adjustable via an electronic control encouraging ergonomically sound work practices.
Further complementing the program objective, the design focuses on the complexity of relocating, illuminating, and incorporating existing artwork and new architectural features as one. A new installation of a three story cloudscape embraces the communicating stair and serves as a symbol of possibility and unity.
