Lathrop Engineering is a Paramit company that designs and develops medical devices and life science instrumentations. They were previously in a space that they have been in for 20 years, where their office and lab spaces were split up between multiple buildings and suites which greatly hindered the work flow, productivity, as well as collaborative opportunity. Needing to relocate brought an opportunity for Lathrop to redefine the company culture, enhance their collaborative work environment, and provide a space where both clients and board members can attend. With a total of 2,000,000 in construction costs, we were able to create an open, contemporary, and inviting space, while still respecting the confidentiality of each clients’ product. The 25,000 square foot building focuses on the flow in the natural path of both employee productivity as well as client experience. The center of the building features a spacious lobby and board members’ center that can easily turn into an all hands meeting space by moving the NanaWall system. The right wing locates the lab spaces which can easily open to one another or be isolated for privacy. The left wing houses the office space and conference rooms where designers and engineers have flexibility and opportunity for both hands down and collaborative work environments. In comparison to their previous space, this new space is a true reflection of Lathrop’s collaborative culture and we are proud to have been a part of it.
