The Clement Hotel is a 23-room boutique hotel located in Palo Alto, California. The client’s objective was to create a home away from home that feels like more like a pied-de-terre than a hotel for the elite Silicon Valley clientele. The design is inspired by an abstraction of a Palo Alto Manor house maintaining a balance between comfort and elegance. Through the blend of contemporary and classic elements, a soothing, cozy and relaxing ambiance was created. Northern California landscape inspired the material palette with calming neutral tones celebrating the causal yet refined indoor/outdoor California lifestyle. The subtle spirit of modern design is reflected in the furniture selections throughout the project. A curated guest experience is reinforced by the residential scale of the design, thus forming an oasis from the outside world.
A private chef is on call 24-hours a day to prepare world class meals in the open kitchen adjacent to the living room. Guests can unwind in the living room adorned with classic contemporary furniture in a neutral soothing palette surrounded by a world class art collection. The living room features a stone fireplace with walls clad in Claro walnut which were sourced from nearby orchards. The rooftop which overlooks Stanford University, features a swimming pool, whirlpool and private cabanas.
Of the 23 guestrooms, 21 guestrooms are 650-square foot, one-bedroom suites. Each one-bedroom suite features state of the art technology, custom furniture and beautiful artwork. The guest baths feature stone lined bathrooms with soaking tubs and separate glass enclosed showers.
