..With the goal of consolidating two locations, and establishing a new standard for NBA league offices, the Sacramento Kings relocated their two hundred and thirty member staff to the 38,000 square foot, fourth-floor of the Kimpton Sawyer Hotel. The sophisticated, workplace, neighboring their Golden One Arena and overlooking Downtown Commons welcomes an abundance of natural light and offers 360-degree views of the city. From the tower bridge to the capital, visual connections exemplify the brand’s connection to the city and reinforce an appreciation of the Kings’ sphere of influence.
Hospitality meets workplace in the strategic circulations of programmed spaces that embody the brand. From the elevator lobby, gently patterned tiled floors lead guests to concrete surfaces and the ideal entertaining space. Efficiently equipped with a cocktail bar and double doors the lobby leads to a furnished outdoor deck that overlooks the hotel’s pool and lounge. Beyond reception, crisp, subtle details envelop a series of collaborative spaces. Conference rooms, huddle rooms and to casual banquettes, usher users to the suite’s large interior hub and multi-purpose core. With flexibility as the primary intent in this café, break room, lounge the all-hands space adds a nod to the stadium seating and anchors the various seating options against the backdrop of a living wall. Beyond the core, an organic configuration of open office neighborhoods connects to the 6,748 SF outdoor entertaining space.
West of the reception area lies the executive suite comprised of elegant private offices, a wet bar, and a patio. The area circles the elevator core to connect to private HR, accounting, and auxiliary meeting rooms.
