Yellowstone Club is a 15,200-acre private residential community set amidst the grandeur of the Rocky Mountains in Big Sky, Montana. The Club's superior amenities, easy Montana charm and overwhelming natural beauty present an incomparable venue for mountain living, year-round recreation, and cherished family traditions.
The goal for this project was to respect the rich geophysical landscape of one of the most beautiful mountain terrains in the world while creating a dynamic, fresh and stimulating experience for a sophisticated, well-traveled membership; and to differentiate the new buildings within a unified village setting by having each of them convey a unique aesthetic direction. The project encompasses three new buildings, each with amenity spaces on the first floors and residences above. Included in the design project is two new restaurants, sales center, conference room and private offices, locker area with ski valet/waiting room, restrooms and dressing rooms, a bar, a market, fitness center and exercise room with salon and barber shop; and a 14,500-square-foot spa with lobby, offices, treatment rooms, indoor pool and relaxation room, and men’s a women’s lockers, restrooms, showers, steam rooms, sauna, experience shower and lounge.
The spa at Yellowstone Club honors Montana’s rich Native American culture with artwork, luscious earth tones, organic shapes, and neutral-toned furnishings to honor the tribe’s connection with mother nature and earth. Soft lighting and white walls create a calm, soothing spa atmosphere where guests can unwind and rejuvenate after a long day on the slopes or on the golf course. Furniture is more sculptural maintaining the natural expression of the materials and textures on woods and fabrics. Using natural materials, soft woods and a muted palette, BraytonHughes created a space to stay up to date with the modern skier.
